Hello, Im trying to do some research on Encoding and Decoding a DXL file/library.
While i found answers for Encoding a file using the tool called "Rational DOORS Extension Language Encryption Tool".
Im not sure how to decode an encrypted file. Kindly let me know if there is a way or walkthrough on this.
Thanks.. Karthik4560 - Wed Jan 16 08:02:25 EST 2019 |
Re: Decoding a DXL File There isn't. The whole idea of encrypting code is to protect the intellectual property of the developing company from other developers. |

Well, feel free to reverse engineer the encoding algorithm or to hack into the decompilation DLL. I don't know about the laws in your country, but in my country data espionage and getting or providing access to encrypted data is punishable by up to 3 years in jail. So, if you are successful, don't brag about it in this forum... |
Re: Decoding a DXL File ... ... ... Important informationExisting user-encrypted DXL needs to be re-encrypted using the DXL Encryption Tool. DXL encrypted with Rational DOORS 9.0 or earlier does not work with later versions of Rational DOORS. If you do not have the source DXL files for any DXL that needs to be re-encrypted, contact Customer Support for help with re-encryption.

I do understand that Doors Client has this capability to decode the file.... Can you point at the right direction? Will help...

Thanks In this case you're trying to reverse engineer the code which is illegal, no one is going to assist you in this activity. |
